4th Annual "Pretty In Pink!" Brunch a Stupendous Success!

Our most successful "Pretty In Pink" Brunch, yet, was held today at Great River Golf Club in Milford, CT. Our Survivor Speaker Karen Dumas Ackley shared her story of strength and support, making us laugh with her at the lighthearted moments, and bringing us to tears as she walked us through some of her most difficult days. She is a "Phenomenal Woman," and we honor and thank her for opening our eyes and our hearts to her personal survivorship.
Father Tom Ptaszynski was our Healing Team Speaker today, and he immediately drew us in with his spiritual and motivational words, letting us know what it was like for him to walk in the world of breast cancer with a close friend. This Catholic priest gave us new perspective on the lives of caretakers and the impact that their loved one's illness has on them.

Broadway performer Kristin Huffman "wowed" us with a snappy little ditty that left us wanting more - and more we shall have, as we plan a winter event with Kristin and some of her Broadway Babes - stay tuned, we'll tell you more as we know more!

Finally, the Daisy Wheel was unveiled and presented to the 115+ guests, as a dozen girls ages 8-18 surrounded looked on. This 3' demonstration model We take delivery on 5,000 Daisy Wheels this week - only 195,000 more to go to have every girl in the state of CT in grades 5-12 able to receive the Get In Touch Girls' Program!

Our signature dessert - a scoop of Walnut Beach Creamery's gourmet cranberry & strawberry with white chocolate chunks - and a butter cookie in the shape of a hand right on top. Yes, that's right...our signature dessert is our tribute to the all important "BSE!"

Well, darlings, it's off to slumberland...I can rest well tonight knowing we are closer to getting our program into the hands of girls everywhere. Hope Lives! ~Mary Ann
