Chin up, darlin' - you can do this, I promise you. Tell me when you start chemo and I'll give you my best "how to make chemo fun" advice! Whether you journal or not, I really encourage you to grab a journal or a notebook and just do a "flight of thoughts" - it's amazing how that can be such a centering way to wind down the day. The other thing I did that you might like is that I wrote a letter every single day of my chemotherapy to someone in my life that really made a wonderful impact on me, for example, I wrote: Dear Tom, Today is Day One of my chemotherapy and I wanted to tell you.... I wrote to elementary school teachers, a high school coach, priests, sisters, neighbors, parents of childhood friends, siblings, etc. It was a WONDERFUL experience - for all of us.
Okay, luv, my little guy (14 years old, not really that little!) is zonked out next to me and I need to wake him up so he can go to bed! We're expecting a foot of snow tomorrow in Connecticut - I can't wait to be hunkered down with the kids and just....be. Good night, sleep tight......Hope Lives! ~Mary Ann
Oh, God bless YOU, Amy - thank you for your kind words. God is with you and so am I - I'll be praying for you. Being on the show was a wonderful experience - Carman was terrific and the audience was so full of love and energy.
Please add your name to our Sister List on the website - we pray for everyone on those lists every day. Feel free to blog away about your experience if you like - I found so much comfort in other's experiences and believe it or not, there is a gal out there somewhere who YOU can touch with your journey, as well.
God bless you, my sister, and please keep in touch and tell me how you are doing.
